Passionate Latin American cultural festivals to be held on 18th July, to commemorate Uruguay´s National Day.

Over 40 VIPS including the Vice-President Mr. Danilo Astori will visit the Expo to celebrate Uruguay´s National Day at Expo Yeosu.

2012-07-10, Yeosu – Uruguay, which is currently participating at the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, will offer various shows to commemorate Uruguay’s national day to be held on July 18th. Visitors will be able to enjoy authentic Uruguay´s culture.

The Uruguay Pavilion invites Ruben Rada, percussion master, Hugo Fattoruso, world famous Latin jazz pianist, and a traditional Uruguayan dance team to celebrate Uruguay’s national day. Their performances will provide visitors an opportunity to enjoy both modern and traditional music styles.

Ruben Rada is an Afro-Uruguayan percussionist and the founder of candome beat. He had a prominent role in the evolution of modern Candombe music and he is very well known among famous artists from all over the world. Ruben Rada will provide a performance to show the spirit of passionate Latin American music.

Master Hugo Fattoruso, one of the best piano players in the world, will present cheerful and beautiful piano melodies to celebrate Uruguay’s national day.

Additionally, traditional dance team’s performance will be held to share the passion of Uruguay, where the longest carnival celebration in the world is held.

Also, more than 40 VIPS including the Vice- President Mr. Danilo Astori will visit the Uruguay’s Pavilion. Detailed schedule for Uruguay’s national day will be announced later.

다닐로 아스토리 우루과이 부통령 등, 귀빈 40여명 방한

이달 10일, 여수 - 2012 여수세계박람회(EXPO 2012 YEOSU KOREA)에 참가하고 있는 우루과이는 오는 18일, 우루과이 국가의 날을 맞아 진정한 우루과이 문화를 즐길 수 있는 다채로운 프로그램을 준비한다.

우루과이관은 이번 국가의 날을 맞아 퍼커션니스트의 거장 루벤 라다(Ruben Rada), 국제적인 라틴 재즈 피아니스트 우고 팟토루소(Hugo Fattoruso), 우루과이 전통 댄스팀 등을 초청하여 현대와 과거를 어우르는 라틴의 문화를 즐길 수 있도록 했다.

우루과이 출신 퍼커션니스트 거장인 루벤 라다는 칸돔베비트의 창시자이자 남미 전통음악인 칸돔베를 현대 음악에 접목시키는데 가장 큰 역할을 한 인물로 세계 유명 아티스트들에게 잘 알려져 있다.

루벤 라다는 이번 우루과이 날을 맞아 열정적인 남미 음악의 정수를 보여주는 공연을 펼칠 예정이다.

세계적인 피아니스트인 우고 팟토로소 역시 이번 우루과이 국가의 날 맞아 경쾌하면서도 아름다운 피아노 선율을 선사한다.

또한 세계에서 가장 긴 카니발을 즐기는 우루과이의 열정을 보여줄 수 있는 전통 댄스팀의 공연도 준비될 예정이다.

한편, 우루과이 국가의 날을 축하하기 위해 다닐로 아스토리 우루과이 부통령 겸 상원의장을 포함한 40여명의 귀빈들이 우루과이관을 찾을 예정이다.
